INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
If you are interested in individual therapy, I will generally meet with you for a 50-minute session weekly. My approach is client-centered, where together we establish the goals for treatment, which usually takes 2-4 sessions. Clients tend to find some relief in 12-16 sessions, but longer term therapy is also available. We may choose to bring in significant others to sessions when that could be helpful.
Couples therapy
If you are interested in couples therapy, I fuse an integrative approach largely based on the work of John Gottman. Couples sessions are 60-minutes and start with a comprehensive intake that includes a joint meeting, an individual meeeting with each member of the couple, and a joint feedback session. After that, sessions must be attended by both members of the couple.
CONSULTATION
If you are an early career mental health professional or have recently gotten licensed, I am available for consultation. I bring my background in teaching and training to help you apply psychological theory more deeply in your practice to get more effective results for your clients.
